Leadership Development Training
Among the well-respected work our staff professionals conduct, we are particularly proud of two nationally recognized, cutting edge programs:
RMP is a nine day seminar designed for elected and appointed public executives in federal, state, and local government. Started in 1982, it is offered to approximately 35-40 participants twice annually.
The program's mission is to enhance the leadership skills of policy makers and public managers and to encourage the use of innovative approaches to governance.
The program encourages manager to reflect of their role in the public sector, examine the changing and demanding context in which public policy decisions are made, and develop managerial and analytical skills that increase their capacity to deal more effectively with very complex and sensitive contemporary issues.

The Denver Community Leadership Forum (DCLF) was established to bring together diverse groups of people to prepare them to jointly address pressing community issues. The program is based on the assumption that special collaborative leadership skills are required to solve may of the complex problems our society faces today.
DCLF participants interact with respected academics, experts in the leadership field, program alumni and acknowledged leaders who are willing to share their own expertise and knowledge. Participants learn practical skills and approaches for managing change, examine their own personal leadership styles, learn form the experience of others through case studies and use each other as resources to address current issues facing them in their organizations and in the community. The program is complemented by a five-day Outward Bound course, designed specifically for DCLF participants, which develops team work and builds confidence.
