Judith Bergquist
Ms Bergquist is Associate Director for CCCD's - Denver Office. Her servies area is the Northern and Central Mountains and Front Range communities. In this capacity she assists local rural municipalities in community planning and economic development with projects ranging from Downtown Master Plans to entry monument design as well as all aspects of design development. She is responsible for assisting communities with project definition and scope, ensuring that appropriate stakeholders are involved and oversees the graduate students work. Work is partially funded by the community, the State Department of Local Affairs and other grant monies.
Work is coordinate by Ms. Bergquist and completed by graduate level students through paid internships. Work also involves coordinating with University Faculty in developing studio projects. The program provides communities professional design services from conceptual to final phases in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Planning projects; assists communities leverage resources by seeking grant funding; provides the financial information of community development by providing cost estimates; provides historic preservation guidance and assistance in historic grant funded projects.
Ms Bergquist, MLA, is a Landscape Architect with over twelve years experience in commercial landscaping, park and trail design, and community development, additionally over a decade of experience in theatrical design and construction,at LORT-B Theatres across the west, building furniture and props. Other experience includes work teaching studio at the University of Colorado ENVD program, conservation of objects, paper and fabrics at the Rocky Mountain Conservation Center, and a carpenter/exhibits installation expert at the Denver Art Museum. She has a lifelong experience in designing and constructing objects and spaces. Considerable experience in every phase of site analysis, design, construction and project management. Project managerial skills include multi-discipline team supervision, agency coordination, newsletters, and public workshop facilitation. She is resourceful, creative, practical, detail-oriented, thorough; skilled at creating intentional environments/atmospheres for the purpose of education and historic documentation, as well as places of enjoyment and contemplation.
Judith Bergquist holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Design and Technical Theatre from Webester University and the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts; and Masters in Landscape Architecture, University of Colorado at Denver.
