Children, Youth, and Environments Center for Research and Design

The Children, Youth and Environments Center for Research and Design works with the design professions and allied disciplines to contribute to the health, safety and welfare of children and youth. The Center undertakes and supports interdisciplinary activities in research, teaching and community outreach that connect the worlds of research, policy and practice, while recognizing young people's capacity for meaningful participation in the processes that shape their lives. It focuses in particular on children and youth in environments of disadvantage and those with special needs. One of its major programs is the Learning Landscapes Initiative.

Place - so essential to the economy and soul of Colorado - demands that we do a better job of understanding and maintaining what we value from the past.
