Dr. Frank Sanchez has served as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Engagement at the University of Colorado Denver since June 1, 2005.
Prior to this post Dr. Sanchez was the Vice President for Student Affairs at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. For the last 15 years, he has provided direct leadership in campus service areas including Housing, Multicultural Affairs and Learning Assistance Centers as well as led specific initiatives with curricular learning communities, enrollment management and student engagement activities.
In 1999, Dr. Sanchez received the ACUHO-I Robert P. Cooke Article of the Year Award for his publication on residential learning theory. In the summer of 2000, he was selected as a presenter for The Oxford Round Table in Oxford England and has presented at numerous national and regional conferences in the field of Student Affairs, enrollment management and diversity.
Dr. Sanchez holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University in Higher Education Administration with an emphasis in Learning, Cognition and Instruction, a M.S. Degree in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Colorado State University and a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
