- College of Architecture and Planning
- The professional development programs offered through UCD's College of Architecture and Planning have included short courses, certificate programs, seminars, workshops, and other activities. At present, our continuing education efforts are on hold as we refocus efforts in support of the College's signature areas of prominence and distinction. In the College of Arts & Media at UCD, history's traditions and teachings provide the foundation for self-discovery and aesthetic expression. At the same time, cutting-edge technology and resources offer new and innovative ways for students to apply their aesthetic identity-whether it be in the form of visual arts, performing arts, multimedia, 3D animation, or film.
- Business School

The Business School at UCD designs executive education programs based on the needs of senior level managers in Colorado’s business community. It can provide customized programs that offer continuous professional development and refreshment of knowledge to broaden and refine capabilities at the individual, team, and organizational levels. These customized programs bring immediacy and relevance to the classroom by addressing client specific needs and challenges. In so doing, the programs leverage the strengths of the UCD faculty and their connections with experts from leading schools such as Harvard, Stanford and Wharton.

The School of Education & Human Development offers a wide range of continuing education opportunities for working teachers. These are a group of self-funded courses and programs that are typically held off campus, and held in cooperation with schools and community agencies. While the courses are designed to meet specific education and training needs of partner organizations, many of the offerings articulate with the School's regular master's programs.

Certificate programs
- The SEHD offers a variety of courses in the following subjects: Language, Literacy and Culture; Special Education; Linguistically Diverse Education; Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL); Instructional Technology; and Early Childhood Education.
- College of Engineering & Applied Science

The Continuing Engineering Education Program features workshops, seminars, and short courses designed for individuals already working in engineering or engineering-related positions. This type of additional training is vital in the field, as more states are requiring continuing professional development credits for renewal of their PE registration. The program awards Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and certificates of completion to those who successfully complete the course work.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Office of Extended Studies offers a variety of Continuing and Professional Education courses. Whether you're looking to get ahead in your career or expand your personal horizons, you're sure to find a class that interests you. We currently offer programs in coordination with the Rocky Mountain Middle School Math and Science Partnership, the Center for New Directions, the Denver Writing Project, and the CU Succeed Program. The Office of International Education (IE) provides a variety of programs and services for international students and scholars. IE coordinates new international student orientation activities, provides information and advising concerning immigration and visa regulations, organizes social activities, and provides a communication center for UCD's international students.
