Academic Technology Services

David "The Moustache" ThomasDavid Thomas - Manager of Academic Technology Services
303 - 315 - 3704
david.thomas@ucdenver.edu

After leaving a career in corporate training, technology and product development, David happily returned to the university. He found a home at CU Online, supporting faculty and helping build out the various training and support offerings CU Online provides to faculty. When not heading up the able academic technology services team, David works on his PhD in planning and design in the College of Architecture and Planning where he researches the question, "What makes a place fun?"

Brian Yuhnke

Brian Yuhnke - Media Production Coordinator
303 - 315 - 3686
brian.yuhnke@ucdenver.edu

Brian is a firm believer that if teaching is boring for the faculty then it certainly is for the students.  Brian is motivated to engage faculty in the use of technology to make learning fun and innovative. He does radically cool stuff with video and supports the Breeze/Connect System (web conferencing and online lecture recording). Brian also researches emerging technologies and all kinds of other randomness for CU Online at the University of Colorado Denver. He has earned an MEd: Instructional Technology as well as a bachelor of arts: Video & Audio Production from Kent State University.

Anna Thai

Anna Thai - Academic Technology Coordinator

anna.thai@ucdenver.edu
303 - 315 - 3689 (DDC)
303 - 724 - 8117 (AMC)

Hailing from the land downunder where technology is at least 6 months behind (must be those darn kangaroos that keep chewing on the network cables), Anna decided to venture outside of her little island and head for the Mile High city of Denver. Prior to getting off the island, Anna supported faculty with their online teaching at Monash University. In between researching and testing emerging technologies for implementation, Anna kept faculty informed with weekly tech news. Working at CU Online at the University of Colorado Denver has given Anna the opportunity to explore other avenues of technology and to share this wealth of knowledge. While staggering through the cornfields of Indiana for six years, Anna managed to pick up a little Midwest twang; which of course is completely gone now, and also a MS degree in Information and Communication Sciences and a BS degree in Business Administration from Ball State University.
