Three important things to do when you arrive on campus…

  1. Stop by the Office of International Education to pick up a packet of information to help you get started at UCD. Bring your passport and immigration documents so the International Student Advisor can inspect and copy them.
  2. Attend the Mandatory New International Student Orientation
  3. Make sure you activate your UCD e-mail account. Go to the International Admissions site, and click on Accepted Students Link to get more information about activating your UCD e-mail ID. This is required to receive important e-mail communication from your department.

Welcome!

Thank you for your interest in the College of Architecture and Planning. We invite you to explore and learn more about the University’s admission requirements, international services and estimated fees.

To make your navigating experience easier, we’ve broken out the specific information that applies strictly to international students, so this page is a top line cook’s tour of the Graduate International admissions section.

Getting Started

Who exactly is an "International Student”?... International students are those who already have, or will be applying for, a temporary U.S. visa (most commonly the F-1 and J-1 visas).

If you are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee – or if you have submitted the Form I-485 to the Department of Homeland Security in application for permanent residency status and have received a receipt for the form – you should use the appropriate domestic application.
