Entry Monuments

Fountain, CO
Entry Monument

The Center created several options and revised these to a create a final entry monument design for the two entries off of I-25 to the Town of Fountain. The final entry monument incorporated the recently developed wayfinding signage, the river stone character of Fountain Creek and a reference to the railroad that went through Fountain. In fact, Fountain celebrates one day each year commemorating the blowing up of a railroad car in the late 1800’s. The new entry sign will be more visible to highway traffic and give a true sense of the character and interests of the town of Fountain.

Entry Monument

The Center prepared concept plans for an Entry Monument at the newly aligned Second Street and I-25 off ramps for the Town of Monument. The Center prepared concept design drawings to provide for a variety of visual response for the entry and character of Monument. Through several Landscape Committee meetings the group settled on an informal monument stone with native xeroscape plantings. We then provided a planting list and phased cost estimates for the plantings and signage.

Minturn, CO
Entry Visuals along Highway 24

The Center provided twelve to fifteen visual illustrations and appropriate mapping along Hwy 24 from the I- 70 exit to the Town’s entry bridge. The intern created presentation drawings that provided conceptual ideas for the enhancement of the visual experience along Hwy 24 into the Historic Downtown of Minturn. Written text detailed the action plan for the suggested enhancements.
