Wayfinding Signage

Alma, CO
Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan

The Center created and developed a design for wayfinding in the town of Alma. The wayfinding signage is also used as an entry monument to Alma. Incorporated into the design are themes of mining, the river, and the highest town in the US. The student intern was able to pull all these thematic characters into one complete design that is for both wayfinding and an entry monument.

Fountain, CO
Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan

The Center provided mapping for wayfinding signage placement for the directional use of visitors and locals alike. The Center provided several design schemes for the character and look of primary, secondary and tertiary signs. Attending two concept presentations, the student created a cohesive town image for all wayfinding signage. The final document contains design intent and discussion of placement, sign details for construction and cost estimates.

Fairplay, CO
Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan

The Center provided mapping for wayfinding signage placement for the Main Street (Highway 9) and business district of Front Street in Fairplay. The Center provided several design schemes for the character and look of primary, secondary and tertiary signs. Attending two concept presentations, the student created a cohesive town image for all wayfinding signage. The final document contains design intent and discussion of placement, sign details for construction and cost estimates.

Georgetown, CO
Wayfinding Signage and Master Plan

The Center provided mapping for wayfinding signage placement for the Historic and Downtown Business areas of Georgetown. The Center provided several design schemes for the character and look of primary, secondary and tertiary signs. After two concept presentation the student created a town signage image for all wayfinding signage. The student also created a kiosk image and “You are Here” mapping and promotional image for the Wildlife Viewing Station, just outside of Georgetown on the lake. The final document contains design intent and discussion of placement, sign details for construction and cost estimates. Signs have been installed as of early 2008.

Granby, CO
Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan

The Center provided mapping for wayfinding signage placement for the Main Street which is Agate Ave and Highway 40 and business district in the central district of Granby. The Center provided several design schemes for the character and look of primary, secondary and tertiary signs. Attending two concept presentations, the student created a cohesive town image for all wayfi nding signage. The final document contains design intent and discussion of placement, sign details for construction and cost estimates.

Woodland Park, CO
Wayfinding and Signage Master Plan

The Center provided mapping for wayfinding signage placement for the Woodland Park Main Street corridor and a proposed redevelopment to be the Town Center. An existing conceptual plan had been developed on which the student based the way-fi nding signage placement. During the analysis of the conceptual plan, the student called attention to the possible issues of new entrances into the town center district. The student also called attention to the pros and cons of a proposed pedestrian overpass crossing Highway 24.
