What’s New?

As of August 17, 3093 Voices have been added to the Community Wide Conversation!

Interested in helping make the Denver’s Child & Youth Friendly City conversation community wide? We are looking for Conversation Facilitators. As a Conversation Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to talk with groups around the city about their thoughts on making Denver the nation’s #1 Child & Youth Friendly City. A great chance to meet new people and learn what folks around the city are thinking. Join us for a Conversation Facilitator Training session!

Everyone is welcome to be a Conversation Facilitator, but we would ask that you RSVP by 9/1 for either training so we can get an accurate count for food and facilitator kits. Please RSVP to katherine@buildassets.org.


A Better Denver for All: Making the City Child & Youth Friendly is now open at Nine10 Arts! Join us for a month full of great art & great events all related to Denver’s Child & Youth Friendly City Initiative! The exhibit will remain open until September 17. Calling All Stakeholders! (Volunteer Opportunities)

Gather Voices and enjoy great music at the same time! We are looking for volunteers to help gather Voices at Mayfair Concert in the Park on August 25 at 6:30 pm. The concert will feature the Denver Municipal Jazz Band! For more information on volunteering at this event, contact katherine@buildassets.org.

Gather Voices! Connect with DPS schools! Join us on September 8 from 8-3:30 at the Denver Public Schools Parent Leadership Institute. We will be gathering voices for DPS parents and teachers and working to schedule conversations. For more information on volunteering at this event, contact katherine@buildassets.org.

Have a few spare hours on a weekday? We are always looking for volunteers to help with data entry, phone calls, mailings and more. For information on general volunteer opportunities, contact katherine@buildassets.org.

 

Update from the Youth Executive Committee

The Youth Executive Committee is continuing to grow! The group will be adding a more youth and adult members beginning with a second training on August 25. For more information on the training & the YEC, please see the attached flyer. Encourage the young people you know to get involved and help make Denver a better place to live! Have you gathered any voices? If so, please contact Katherine Plog Martinez at katherine@buildassets.org to make arrangements for Voice Card pick up.

An Update from the Youth Executive Committee

This week, 20 youth and 6 adults will be attending a two day training presented by Rich Goll & Cindy Carlson. Rich & Cindy are nationally know trainers and will be working with the group to prepare for another year of exciting work related to Denver’s Child & Youth Friendly City Initiative.
