Growing Up Boulder

Edgar Chavarria is a 6th grader at Centennial Middle School in Boulder. In the Spring of 2009, Edgar came to the CYE office once a week to create a digital story. He took most of the photos, wrote and recorded the voice over, chose the music, and learned movie making software to create his story. Watch Edgar's video to learn about his experiences growing up in Boulder and hear his recommendations for making it an even better place to live.

Led by Ayinde Chong, a local graffiti artist, 15 middle- and high-school students created graffiti art during the kick-off celebration for Growing Up Boulder. The youth practiced painting techniques and created the two art panels to express their ideas about Growing Up Boulder.
