Knight Academy Elementary School
School Description
Knight Fundamental Academy is a Denver Public Schools Magnet School. We are a 1st through 5th grade school, and offer tuition based ECE and full day Kindergarten. Our school was begun in 1982 with a Back-to-Basics approach to learning. Our students' curriculum is based on Math, Reading , Writing, Spelling, Composition, Grammar,Science, Discipline, and Citizenship. While our students thrive in a teacher-based learning environment, we enrich the curriculum with Music, Art, Computer, Library/Research and daily Physical Education/dance. With today’s style of education turning towards various styles of teaching/learning, why does Knight Fundamental Academy continue with our founding style of teaching? Because it works! Our students are ready for the challenges of Middle School when they leave Knight. Our alumni boasts many Boettcher Scholarship Scholars. Our facility is one of the best Denver Public Schools has to offer. Our teachers, staff, and administration believe in 'It Takes a Village to Raise a Child' philosophy in developing a strong foundation in our students, to support a lifetime of learning.
