Research Interests_________________________________________________
Advanced Technologies and Materials, Green Architecture, Sustainable Buildings and Environments, Digital Appllications
Dr. Attmann’s research seeks to understand how advanced technologies and materials can be integrated with architecture to satisfy the emerging and future needs of people. His aim is to incorporate and in some cases to induce green technologies in architectural environments and elements in order to design sustainable buildings.
His current research focuses on developing an interactive architectural green wall system of the future: a composite that integrates the currently segregated functions of conventional wall and combines them into one advanced composite. This effort is highly multi-disciplinary, and combines experts from various engineering fields, namely material science, civil and electrical engineering.
Professional Activities______________________________________________
Dr. Attmann is professionally involved in a variety of advanced technology and material research and Green projects. He is the Principal of Green-Tecture Studio: Architectural Design and Emerging Technologies research and advisory firm.
