Master of Urban and Regional Planning Admissions
Here are the general Urban and Regional Planning requirements the Admissions Committee considers:
- At least a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average--although you may be admitted on probation in special instances with a grade point average below 3.0 but above 2.5
- A sample of writing or a work project.
- An 8.5 × 11-inch bound document that includes:
- Your statement of purpose (which should include your educational and professional goals and objectives)
- Resume (which describes your educational and professional background)
- Copy of a student or professional paper or project (with a note explaining why the particular item was selected)
- A list of courses that you have taken that relate to planning
- Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores are encouraged for the Urban and Regional Planning program
- However, if your GPA is below 3.0, you must submit GRE scores.
- You must hold at least a bachelor's degree.
