Careers
It may sound simplistic, but the first step to reaching your goals is to actually sit down and set them. Your career goals are no different. What do you want to do after you graduate? What salary do you want to command? Where do you want to be in five years?
If you don’t have the answers to these questions, don’t worry, that’s what this section is all about. Besides the Career Center, the College has great resources to help you set and reach all of your career goals…
For over twenty years, Colorado firms and agencies have been providing CAP students with invaluable opportunities to step outside the classroom and apply their intellectual knowledge in a real world context. We feel this exposure to the professional office and practice is integral to your education.

Undergraduate Programs
Admission to graduate programs and job opportunities for BEnvd recipients have been excellent in recent years. Though architecture has been the most popular area of graduate study, many undergraduates continue on to graduate study in the professional fields of landscape architecture, interior design, planning, and urban design.
In preparation for later employment, you can complete internships for academic credit. Internships may be available through the Boulder campus with local architectural and planning firms and local government agencies, as well as with several federal agencies in the Boulder/Denver area.
Career Services on the Boulder campus (http://careerservices.colorado.edu/) also offers resources and services to help you plan your career. Career Services empowers students to take control of their own professional development and job search by providing free career counseling, career and internship fairs, test preparation, and career related events. For an appointment with a career counselor or for more information, call (303) 492-6541 or stop by the office, located in Willard Hall, room 34 (garden level).
