Course Cancellations and Rescheduling
Courses not meeting minimum enrollment may be cancelled. Participants who have already registered for a course that is cancelled are notified immediately via the email provided on their registration form. In our efforts to provide courses and limit cancellations, participants registered for a course that is cancelled may be notified as late as two-business-days before the scheduled start of class. A FULL REFUND is always available if a course is cancelled.
Occasionally an instructor is ill or has an emergency. We cannot always notify each student if this occurs. We will e-mail cancellation or rescheduling information first, and then try to notify everyone by phone. If you want verification a particular course will run, please call our office the day before class at (303) 556-4907.
Always verify the Continuing Engineering Education Program has your most up-to-date contact information (mailing address, phone numbers, e-mail address).
Weather Advisories
If the Downtown Denver, Auraria Campus closes for any reason, like snow, our office will also cancel classes at all of our satellite campuses, like Level (3) Communications in Broomfield, Colorado. The number to call for a recorded message concerning campus and course cancellations is
303-556-2401.
The decision to close campus will be made on an hour-by-hour basis. The primary criterion for the decision to close the Auraria Campus is the condition of the campus and its immediate surrounding areas.
The options for closure are:
- closed for the day and evening
- closed for the evening beginning at 4 p.m.
- open for evening classes at 4 p.m. following day closure
Weather closure decisions will be made prior to 5:30 a.m. for day closures and prior to 2 p.m. for evening closures. Each institution will implement the closure decision through its own internal communication procedures. Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) staff will notify appropriate media agencies of closure. Auraria Campus Police and Security will lock buildings (other than UCD Bldg and LSC) and post notices, as well as place recorded messages on the AHEC information telephone line 303-556-2401.
