The Colorado School of Public Health offeres the following dual/joint degree options for students interested in pairing public health with another discipline.

DVM/MPH

The Colorado School of Public Health offers a dual MPH/DVM with the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS).

Program details concerning students recently admitted to the MPH/DVM program is available through the CVMBS website.

MD/MPH

The MD/MPH joint degree is offered by the UC Denver School of Medicine (SOM) and the Colorado School of Public Health (CSPH).  In addition to receiving the MD, students concurrently receive the master of public health (MPH) in a Colorado School of Public Health concentration: Applied Biostatistics, Community and Behavioral Health, Community Health Education, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology, or Health Systems, Management and Policy.  Up to 12 credits hours from the MD program will count toward completion of the 42 credit hour MPH. In order to help students select courses and successfully complete the joint degree, students are assigned faculty advisors from both SOM and CSPH.

Joint degree students pursue the MPH between years 3 and 4 of their medical education.  The program requires an official leave of absence from SOM. The leave lasts three consecutive semesters (summer, fall, spring). During official leave medical school loan obligations will be waived.  Students are assessed public health tuition rates for CSPH courses taken in completion of the joint degree.  Rates are published under Cost of Attendance.
