Preventive Medicine Residency
Cancer Track

 

The Colorado School of Public Health Preventive Medicine Residency program in conjunction with the American Cancer Society has a residency position focusing on cancer prevention and control. The two-year program involves completion of the Masters in Public Health (MPH) degree, broad training in preventive medicine, and intensive practicum experiences involving the development of clinical, research and teaching skills relevant to a career in cancer prevention.


Available practicum experiences in this track include:

  • University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC)
  • University of Colorado Cancer Center research projects in the epidemiology and control of cancers of the lung, colon, prostate, and breast
  • AMC Cancer Research Center research projects
  • Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
  • Colorado Central Cancer Registry
  • Colorado Women's Cancer Control Initiative
    Tobacco control programs
  • Kaiser Permanente of Colorado
  • Colorado Foundation for Medical Care
  • Veterans Administration Medical Cancer Tobacco Risk Assessment Clinic
