Graduates of the program receive both the Masters of Public Administration degree and a Certificate in Local Government. Students are required to successfully complete 36 credit hours for the MPA degree, and the certificate is awarded to students who complete 15 of their 36 credit hours from courses offered and approved by the faculty of the Local Government Concentration.

- Urban Social Problems
Plus two additional electives from SPA or the Urban Planning program as approved by the concentration director
