We celebrated the 10th Annual Wirth Chair Sustainability Awards Luncheon with a special Colorado wide college student essay competition. We asked college students around the state to answer the questions: “What would you ask the next President of the United States to do in the first 100 days of the administration to address climate change?” There were nearly 70 excellent essays submitted and our panel of judges selected the best three. These winning students were given the opportunity to briefly present their essays to the gathering at the luncheon on April 12th. Below are pictures of our three winners being presented their awards by Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper at the luncheon. You can also read their winning essays.
