Free ESL Conversation Groups

These are FREE informal, drop-in groups for any student whose native language is not English. The focus is on conversation on topics of general interest such as current events, American culture, and life at the University. It is a stress-free environment to practice and become more comfortable with spoken English.

Workshops, Seminars and Classes

Additional workshops, seminars and classes are offered each semester to provide academic support to ESL learners. Below are the links to these services this semester. These are non-credit courses which cost $250.00 for ten (10) weeks of instruction.

ESL Tutoring - There is no scheduled ESL tutoring for Fall 2009! Please see Open Lab schedule - click here

Individual and small group tutoring is available to help students with writing papers for their courses and to help with other language issues that are causing difficulty in understanding course material. Undergraduate and graduate students may receive 1 hour of free tutoring per week. More hours may be available depending on budget and availability of tutorial staff.
