View Registration Link Here - http://fs7.formsite.com/cudenverhousing/form052250658/index.html
Because of the large numbers of students in these courses who are required to attend academic support service seminars, it is now necessary to RSVP to attend one of the workshops. This change was instituted on September 28, 2009. Please click on the link above to RSVP. If you do not RSVP, you will NOT be able to attend the workshop. TRIO SSS program students only need to RSVP if they also plan to count the workshop for their First Year Seminar classes. Thank you!

Learning Styles:
-
Did you ever wonder why your friend never studies for math class but gets A’s on the tests while you spend hours studying and always get B’s? Is she just smarter than you? Probably not. Intelligence is not easily defined and consists of many factors. This workshop explores two of the most common theories about how people learn. Come and find out about Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences and explore the VAK distinctions between visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners. Understanding how you learn can help you be a better student.

Students face many demands on their time: going to class, studying, working, spending time with family and friends, etc. There never seems to be enough time for everything you need and want to do. In this workshop, you will get a realistic picture of what you are doing with you time now and tips for scheduling and using your time more wisely and efficiently.

200 pages or more of reading a week!! Don’t these professors know you have a life? This workshop is designed to give you active reading techniques to help you read faster and retain more. Come and find out what SQ4R really means.

Note Taking:

Many professors now provide students with PowerPoint notes, so many student think that note taking is a thing of the past.
