Marguerite Childs attended Skidmore College and is a graduate of the University of Colorado. She received a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Denver. She is currently Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver.
For many years, Marguerite led the Health Sciences Campuses’ Office of Academic Affairs. With reorganization of the Office of the Provost, Marguerite now administers and coordinates areas that enhance student learning, including the Health Sciences and Auraria Libraries, Educational Support Services, the Office of Academic Technology and Extended Learning, the Center for Bioethics and Humanities, and the Health Sciences’ Office of Diversity. She is also responsible for improving the quality of and expanding UC Denver’s academic programs through management of all academic program review, new academic program development, review and approval of centers and institutes, general academic planning, and accreditation.
In recent years, she has chaired committees to build the education facilities at the Anschutz Medical Campus and consolidation with the downtown Denver campus.
