The University of Colorado Denver Scholars Program is committed to providing students with every opportunity to enhance their academic skills and to succeed in the college class they will take at the University of Colorado Denver. however, students will gain the most benefit from their experience if they commit themselves to the goals of the program and actively participate in its activities.

Therefore students will be expected to:

• Commit themselves to actively participating in the program for the semester



• Attend all scheduled meetings for the program



• Attend their college class faithfully, completing assignments and participating fully (tutors or teaching assistants will be made available)



• Attend all tutorial sessions as required by instructors and staff

The program involves a serious commitment by students because college is a serious commitment. If a student earns a failing or a low grade in a college class, a prospective college or university may be reluctant to grant admission to that student.

Students who are already involved in extra-curricular activities should apply to the program only if they are sure that these activities will not interfere with their full participation in the program.
