I am originally from Pueblo, Colorado, but have enjoyed Denver as my current home.  I attended undergraduate school at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo, Colorado, and received a bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Disorders in 2003.  After graduation, I provided Speech Therapy to children in the Espanola Public School system in Espanola, New Mexico.  I returned to Colorado in 2005 to be closer to family.  I have an eclectic work history background including such agencies as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, Volunteers of America, University of Colorado Boulder and the University of New Mexico just to name a few.  I worked as an Amistades youth mentor while at the University of New Mexico.  The exposure was enough to know that working with students in higher education is my passion.  I am currently pursuing a Masters degree from the University of Phoenix in Business Administration.  I plan on continuing my education; eventually leading to a faculty position at the university level. 

I enjoy spending time with my honey, family and friends, laughing, singing and hiking outdoors.  Music is a very big part of my life, and my family history.  I come from a long line of musicians.
