As Director of the Center for Academic Support and Achievement I oversee three programs: First Generation Student Success, TRiO Scholars, a federally funded Student Support Services program and the Denver Transfer Initiative.  I started working for CCD in October of 2004 and have held similar position at campuses in Texas, Washington and Iowa.  My first college degree was earned in 1981 when I double majored in Psychology and Spanish.  Seven years later in 1988 I completed a Masters degree in Education with emphasis in guidance and counseling.  Away from work I love hunting, fishing and watching my favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.  I have been married to my wife Mary for 37 years and have two children and eight grandchildren.
