One thing most people don’t know about me is that I was born in Milan, Italy and that I lived there until I was 16.  Moving to the US from Italy was a difficult yet exciting adjustment that opened many doors of opportunity for me.  After graduating high school, I attended a local community college where I completed my Associate of Science degree.  I then transferred to the University of Florida and, in 1998, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  In 1999 I achieved my dream of moving to Colorado and in 2001 I began the Counseling Psychology Masters program at the University of Colorado Denver while working full time as a counselor at a residential treatment center for troubled teenage girls.  I finally completed my Masters in 2006 and was fortunate enough to be welcomed into the CCD family soon after graduating, where I was able to fulfill both of my career interests at DTI by working in a helping profession as well as in an educational setting.  Outside of the work that I do, I am passionate about music, cooking, reading, snowboarding, and spending quality time with my family.  I also enjoy traveling as much as possible, both to Italy to visit my family and other corners of the world that I’ve never been to.  Most importantly, I try to live life by the words that my father once said to me and I often encourage people in my life to do the same…“Live as if you were to die tomorrow, Learn as if you were to live forever”
