Financial assistance for international students is limited.  International students are allowed to work on-campus, but off-campus employment requires authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Graduate Assistantships:

If you are a graduate student, check with your department to find out if you are eligible for a teaching or research assistantship.  Keep in mind that some departments do not award assistantships to first year graduate students.  Also, some departments limit the number of terms a student may receive an award.  It¦s important for you to know and understand the limits on the financial assistance available.
