CIBER Advisory Council
The Institute for International Business first convened a distinguished group of academic, government and business leaders on October 30, 1992 to provide international business expertise and vision for a developing CIBER proposal for the University of Colorado Denver. Since CU received CIBER designation, the CIBER Advisory Council has met regularly to:
- Provide information to the CU CIBER on international business trends.
- Identify how the CIBER can be responsive to regional business community needs.
- Evaluate CIBER initiatives and programs to keep them current and relevant.
- Identify additional services and activities to be provided by the CIBER.
- Ensure that the CIBER meets the objectives set forth in the US Department of Education Title VI statutes.
- Serve as an interchange of information between faculty/university and business community/government members.
- Provide a source of classroom speakers who possess international business expertise they can share with appropriate classes.
- Contribute to the internationalization of CU students, faculty, programs and communities.
The CIBER Advisory Council includes members from the business community, government, neighboring institutions of higher education, collaborative partners, and a diverse group of academicians who have an interest in developing additional international business expertise in academic programs, US business initiatives and faculty research.
Global Executive Forum
The Global Executive Forum was established in 1994 to bring together senior executives who are highly involved in global business. Members with US backgrounds are joined by members from different parts of the world to provide insights into whether key business issues change across industries, national boundaries and cultures, and how these issues impact strategies and operations.
