Depending on where you navigate to the New SharePoint Site tab of the New dialog box, you may see more than one choice for Web site templates.

When you highlight each of the template names, you'll see a thumbnail layout of the page displayed to the left. The layouts may range from a welcome page layout, content and interior pages. Choose a template based on the content for the page.
