Steps for international students upon arrival:
Check-In (required): Daily check-ins for international students will take place at the Office of International Affairs from 9:00 am – 11:00 am starting on December 15, 2008 and ending on January 14, 2009. Students will need to bring their (and their dependents) I-20 or DS-2019, passport, visa and I-94 card so an International Student Advisor can make copies for their student file and report their arrival to Immigration. The check in should take 15 minutes to complete.
The Office of International Affairs is located in the Lawrence Street Building at 1380 Lawrence Street, Suite 932, Denver, CO 80204.
Orientation (mandatory): All students must attend a mandatory International Student Orientation on Thursday, January 15, 2009. Orientation will cover how international students can maintain their F-1 or J-1 status, how to navigate your first few weeks at UC Denver and in Colorado, insurance among other topics. Location for the orientation will be provided to students at the end of their check-in session.
