(July 13, 2009) Due to copyright, all course reserve materials at the Auraria Library must be removed from the system each semester. Therefore, on Monday, Aug. 3, there will be no course pages available as all summer semester materials will be removed. On Tuesday, Aug. 4, we will begin to process fall semester requests and the course pages will begin to appear on the website.

The library’s submission deadline for reserves requests for the fall 2009 semester is July 17, if you expect your materials to be up by the end of the second week of the Fall semester. Requests received after the July 17 deadline will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

All Faculty MUST fill out a NEW request form EACH semester, which is available from the online forms link at http://docuserv.auraria.edu/eres/.  Here you will also find other useful departmental forms including the Video Booking form.  Faculty may fill out the form online, print it off and sign it.  Otherwise, one can be picked up at the Reserves/Audio-Video Media Services desk.

Remember to submit the new request form, appropriately filled out and signed by July 17, 2009. A faculty signature is required before the request will be processed, so you can not send the request electronically unless it can be scanned in after the signature. So, now is the time to start gathering those materials (hard copy or electronic) that you want to have processed for next semester and submit them to us with a new request form.  Remember, Reserves staff will pull library materials from the circulating collection only up to the start of the fall semester. So, the last day that we can accept requests for the retrieval of materials from the 2nd floor circulating collection by reserves staff is Aug. 14.
