Future life changers, savers explore options

(Oct. 21, 2008) One day, one place, hundreds of choices. Prospective students, their parents and partners flocked to the Auraria Event Center Sunday, Oct. 26, to explore their vast educational options at the University of Colorado Denver.

In addition to outling the more than 100 degree programs in 13 schools and colleges, the university event featured artisans, music and tours of the campus. Students of all ages took advantage of the opportunity to talk with faculty about all the majors of interesting, as well as discovering a few they never knew existed.

Open house also offered information and guidance in the areas of financial aid, scholarships, admission requirements, transferring credits and housing options.

More than 150 faculty members, admissions and financial aid counselors, and academic and career advisors were on hand to answer questions and help students begin the process of planning the right education to achieve their goals.
