(March 20, 2009) Chris Ruzas, 26, is one of the lucky few who knew what he wanted to be when he grew up since he was in elementary school—he always wanted to be a doctor and that never changed. Ruzas is a Colorado native and received his undergraduate degrees in kinesiology and psychology from CU-Boulder. His knowledge in kinesiology and biomechanics has led him to appreciate the innermost workings of the heart and his residency will be in pediatrics with a fellowship in cardiology. As the hospital with the only pediatrics residency program in the state, Ruzas was matched to The Children’s Hospital in Aurora – his top choice.
