The Faculty Assembly (FA) is the official voice of the University of Colorado Denver Downtown Faculty in shared, cooperative governance on our campus, at our Institution and at the CU-system level. FA and its committees are elected by their constituencies in all the schools and colleges on campus to represent the interests of the faculty and to work hand in hand with administration of the campus in areas ranging from budget, to academic planning, to academic personnel issues, to enriching all aspects of our campus climate and its stature as an urban university. Whether you are a member of FA or not, please become familiar with the UCD Faculty Constitution and Bylaws. They provide guidance for formal faculty governance and norms for academic governance generally. As full participants in critical decisions about change and continuity in the campus's future, faculty have the obligation to be knowledgeable about their rights and responsibilities. UCD Association of Lecturers and Instructors 

UCDALI, in conjunction with Faculty Assembly, will be sponsoring “How to Build Networks and Find Mentors: The UCD Association of Lecturers and Instructors.”  This Networking Lunch, presented by Professor Pamela Laird, is designed to provide information for non-tenure track faculty about how to cultivate and maintain relationships with other non-tenure track folks as well as how to develop professionally.  Please see flyer for details.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs chosen:

Roderick Nairn, PhD, Vice Chancellor for University Initiatives and Vice Provost, Professor of Biology, Professor of Immunology; University of Colorado Denver was chosen for the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs position. He began his new position on July 1, 2008.
