Welcome!
The Faculty Assembly (FA) is the official voice of the University of Colorado Denver Downtown Faculty in shared, cooperative governance on our campus, at our Institution and at the CU-system level. FA and its committees are elected by their constituencies in all the schools and colleges on campus to represent the interests of the faculty and to work hand in hand with administration of the campus in areas ranging from budget, to academic planning, to academic personnel issues, to enriching all aspects of our campus climate and its stature as an urban university. Whether you are a member of FA or not, please become familiar with the UCD Faculty Constitution and Bylaws. They provide guidance for formal faculty governance and norms for academic governance generally. As full participants in critical decisions about change and continuity in the campus's future, faculty have the obligation to be knowledgeable about their rights and responsibilities. Agreement expands security for Downtown Denver buildings
(Nov. 7, 2008) Because safety and security is a top priority, UC Denver has reached an agreement with the Auraria Higher Education Center Police Department for providing safety and security services to UC Denver facilities east of Speer Boulevard – including the Lawrence Street Center at 1380 Lawrence; and the CU Denver Building, 1250 14th Street. The agreement means that when you dial 9-1-1 from an office phone -- in the Lawrence Street Center or the CU Denver Building -- the call is routed directly to Auraria Police Dispatch. Of course, if someone dials 9-1-1 from a mobile phone, it always will go to Denver Police or the local jurisdiction. To ensure the fastest response in an emergency while on campus, police recommend that you program your cell phone to speed dial Auraria Campus Police at 303-556-5000.
