Follow Network updates on Twitter

(Aug. 25, 2008) Yeah, you know who you are. You care about this university and you want your  news updates sooner rather than later, which is why Twitter.com  is a free tool that could help get you what you're looking for.

Now you can follow daily updates  on Network, your staff and faculty online newsletter.

Already on Twitter? Just look for UC DenverNetwork and click on “follow.” Not hip to Twitter yet? It’s a great way for faculty and staff to keep in touch with fellow researchers, colleagues and now the university goings-on – all in 140 characters or less.

In fact, if you want the updates to pop up as soon as they’re posted, download a free program such as Twhirl  on your computer and  avoid  the hassle of having to check back all the time.

Ellen Stevens, director of the Center for Faculty Development at UC Denver, notes the advantages of following university activities and updates on Twitter are many. "Twitter has quickly grown into a valuable tool enabling faculty, researchers and all facets of academia to share insights and ideas: to make important connections with each other," she says. You can follow Stevens and Center for Faculty Development updates at DrEllenStevens.
