Cancer Center team, survivors, celebs Stand up to Cancer

(Sept. 8, 2008) Nearly 50 Cancer Center members and staff, several media and the concerned public joined together at Anschutz Cancer Pavilion from 6 to 8 pm Friday, Sept. 5, to talk about the collaborative, translational cancer researcher underway in Colorado during the national Stand Up to Cancer event.

“It’s mind blowing how fast the pace of change is coming,” Virginia Borges, MD, told Channel 4. “It’s a matter of science catching up with what our patients need and then we’re going to be able to get on top of a lot of these cancers.”
