Study on insulin action
(July 29, 2008) Participants are needed for research exploring how the level of adiponectin in the blood is controlled by fat tissue.
Participant requirements:

male or female aged 18-45 (females should have a normal menstrual cycle and should not be using oral contraceptives)

with or without a diagnosis of diabetes (not taking insulin)
-
must not vigorously exercise more than three hours per week
Subjects participating in the study will receive:
-
dietary analysis/diabetes screening
-
body fat measurement from DEXA
-
controlled three-day diet
-
financial compensation
