Research study of drug levels in blood

(August 26, 2008) Healthy female volunteers are need for a research study examining drug levels in blood after taking a birth control pill, Plan B, and an anti-HIV drug, Efavirenz.

Participants must be:

  • healthy females
  • HIV negative
  • 18-45 years of age
  • not currently or recently using birth control that contains hormones

The study consists of four visits over a four-week time period. Two visits will be 12-hour stays on the research unit and the other two visits will be brief out-patient visits. The drugs (Plan B and Efavirenz) will be provided. Compensation will be provided.
