Dignitaries including UCDHSC Chancellor M. Roy Wilson and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper prepare to cut the ribbon of balloons to officially open the Campus Village residential facility just west of the Auraria Campus at Fourth and Walnut streets. Convocation kicks off new year The stage was set for UCDHSC’s new student convocation on Auraria’s Ninth Street Park Friday, Aug. 18. Students who gathered for lunch and to visit were welcomed by Chancellor M. Roy Wilson. He pointed out that “a chancellor is largely invisible to most students.” But he encouraged those attending, who have now seen him, to speak to him when they see him on campus, “to let me know how you’re doing." Dice advocates for university, community As she goes about her day, Roberta Dice paints a quiet but colorful portrait, blending the details that bond the library with the university and community. An integral part of the Auraria Library since 1978, Dice is the Staff Council Outstanding Service to the Library recipient for 2006.
