Charlotte Million has joined the university staff as director of marketing communications. She and Danielle Zieg will lead the marketing and media communications of the Downtown Denver Campus.

Million was director of publications at the University of Denver for 10 years before becoming a consultant for five years with Noel-Levitz, a premier firm providing leadership in student recruitment and retention. Most recently she has provided freelance writing and marketing services under the rubric Million Creative.

She holds an MA in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a bachelor’s (magna cum laude) from the University of Redlands (Calif.). Her professional history includes work at William Jewell College (Mo.), University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Saint Mary College (Kansas).

An active volunteer and board member in CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), she has given many presentations and workshops on creativity, lateral thinking, marketing research and communications strategy and tactics.

“This is a challenging time for UCDHSC,” Million observes. “We have an opportunity to create a dynamic future for the university. I’m thrilled to be part of the team of dedicated professionals who advance the cause of this institution.”
