(Nov. 13, 2009) Free H1N1 flu shots were provided Tuesday, Nov. 10, to staff, students and employees who have direct patient care responsibility at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
Second-year School of Pharmacy students (white scrubs) and College of Nursing students (dark scrubs) administered 650 H1N1 shots in a matter of three hours. One hundred of the vaccines were nasal spray and 550 were the intramuscular vaccine. The majority of the SOP students participated as a requirement of their training.
H1N1 shots were provided to high-risk individuals on the Auraria Campus Nov. 3 and Anschutz Medical Campus Nov. 6. Keep apprised of the latest information on H1N1 at our Flu Alert page, which is updated as soon as new information is available.
