(May 27, 2009) About 25 UC Denver employees gathered in Bushnell Auditorium on Friday, May 22, to honor Jay Ebertowski as UC Denver Employee of the Month. Doug Kasyon from HR Employee Relations presented the certificate signed by Chancellor M. Roy Wilson. Rosalita Perez, vice-chair of UC Denver Staff Council also presented Ebertowski with gifts.
Ebertowski has been employed with the university since November 2000 and had been the sole Telecommunications Technician for the 9th Avenue Campus for the past three years. In that capacity, he single handedly maintained all switch and telephone issues such as adds, moves and changes, for approximately 6,000 telephone users. Also, Ebertowski is the primary technician for creating voice mail menus for our users and he was instrumental in the implementation of the new voice mail system, CallXpress.
David Pike, telecom operations manager, addressed the crowd, "Words that I would use to describe Jay's attitude, work ethic and general well being are caring, considerate, cooperative, committed, creative, dedicated, dependable, helpful, honest, motivated, observant, objective, professional, reliable, skillful, and trustworthy.”
The IT Services Department and UC Denver Staff Council thanks Ebertowski for his dedication to service and great attitude.
