(Sept. 14, 2009) There is no greater honor than to be recognized by your peers. On Friday, Sept. 11, faculty and staff gathered to honor the 2009 Faculty Excellence winners. Chancellor M. Roy Wilson congratulated the honorees. “Faculty are our greatest resource. We can’t thank you enough,” Wilson stressed. “It is really special to be selected by your peers.”
After the celebration, participants checked out the new faces on the coveted Downtown Campus wall of fame in North Classroom:
- Service: Peter Bryant, Business, and Bill Goodwin, School of Ed
- Teaching: Tony Robinson, School of Public Affairs (SPA)
- Research and Creative Activities: Angela Gover, SPA
- Teaching (instructor): Tod Duncan, Liberal Arts and Sciences
- Librarianship: Cynthia Hashert
In addition, Paul Teske, dean of SPA, was honored as Distinguished Professor, a system-wide award.
