Celebrating little miracles and excellent care

(Aug. 5, 2009) Any family that has had a baby prematurely or a newborn needing specialized care knows how important a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) can be. Families whose babies were cared for in the NICU at University of Colorado Hospital gathered with the physicians, nurses and other care team members to celebrate their children and the excellent care they received in the neonatal unit. The 25th annual event was held Aug. 1 at General’s Park, 1561 N. Quentin St. in Aurora.

Some of the babies are still babies, thriving at home. Others are now adults moving into the next phase of their lives. The party recognizes those who have graduated from the NICU at University of Colorado Hospital and their families. Nearly 100 families attended.
