(Aug. 28, 2009) Faculty now have an efficient means to create, access and archive their syllabi online with a newly launched syllabus tool. The tool includes both the required and highly recommended downtown campus syllabus components. The tool, a collaborative project between the Center for Faculty Development (CFD) and the Center for Innovations in Training Technology (CITT), also allows faculty to create additional sections and to embed graphics.
“When you publish your syllabus, a URL is created linked to a PDF file, allowing 24/7 access to your syllabus,” explains Ellen Stevens, director of the CFD. This URL can be placed in the Course Scheduler for students to see in advance, providing them an opportunity to make informed decisions about their course schedule. The tool also lets faculty:
