During your visit to the Downtown Campus in Denver, we recommend that you make the most of it. Speak with faculty, sit in on a class, eat lunch with students, check out the Tivoli Student Union and the Auraria Book Center, and stroll the downtown neighborhoods surrounding the campus. More than anything, ask questions. The information you gain by reading our promotional materials and surfing through our Web site is valuable, but many times the decision comes down to the intangibles. Is it comfortable? Does it feel right? Did you click with faculty and students?
Here are some other helpful hints to keep in mind as you plan your campus visit:
· Bring a list of what features are most important to you about picking the right college
· Check out bulletin boards for event flyers to see how amazing the social scene is at UC Denver.
· Look at the classrooms and technology, especially our wired Smart Classrooms.
· Bring a camera so you don’t forget those features that really jumped out at you.
· Make plans to meet face-to-face with a financial aid counselor so you have all the information you need to apply for assistance.
· Pick up a copy of the student newspaper, Advocate.
