BP Apply a single core curriculum to all undergraduates. Yes A core curriculum is in place and working well. All students must fulfill Core Curriculum requirements. Core is monitored by oversight committee and evaluated periodically. Catalog
BP Help students determine how transfer credits will count toward degree and assist students in planning a course of study through specific advising services. Publish transfer agreements and provide on-site advising at community colleges. Yes CU-Denver has transfer articulation agreements with all of the Colorado community colleges and provides copies of A Comprehensive Guide to Student Transfer to prospective students. We have a transfer coordinator in our Office of Admissions who provides on-site advising at the community colleges. The campus is in the final stages of implementing an automated degree audit/advising system which will assist students in planning their course of study as well as allow them to look at the impact on their credits if they were to change their major. BP Offer opportunities for students throughout the state to participate in programs that accelerate progress toward degree. Accept credit for such programs and apply the credit toward a degree. Yes CU-Denver has several outreach programs whereby high school students can enroll in college level courses. The CU-Succeed Silver and Gold Programs bring college courses to high school juniors and seniors, particularly minorities, with academic potential who might not be seriously considering college after graduation. BP Provide up-to-date and informative web pages for students, faculty and staff. Provide interactive training modules related to human resources processes and procedures on the CU-Denver website for faculty and staff. Utilize feedback to improve web pages. Yes CU-Denver maintains a comprehensive web site with access for students, faculty, and staff to a broad array of information about services and programs. A web committee for the campus oversees the web site and provides direction for changes as needed to improve the site. The WWW Committee solicits and uses feedback from users to determine where improvements are necessary. http://www.cudenver.edu/
