Bringing Children to Campus

Children, often referred to as minors, are individuals 17 years of age or younger.

Programs, events, and individuals working with minors on the CU Denver campus must meet specific safety, training, and registration requirements before minors may participate on campus. A program for children is a campus program operated exclusively or primarily for Children left in campus care without parent or guardian supervision and that requires registration.

This site provides a clear, step-by-step overview of what is required to comply with the Child Protection Policy (Policy 3001D), including program registration, required trainings, background checks, emergency planning, and health and supervision expectations. You will also find links to required forms, templates, and campus resources to support your planning and implementation.

Children may not participate in any program or activity until all required steps have been completed and approved.
