Summer Camps

Architecture in the City (AITC) offers high school students the opportunity to explore architecture and design in three different formats: one-day workshops during the school year, a five-day commuter summer camp, and a week-long overnight summer camp. AITC participants are introduced to design principals through firm visits and a studio project led by College of Architecture and Planning faculty.

Come experience where engineering meets medicine at the Bioengineering Opportunities and Leadership Training (BOLT) summer camp, an in-person camp on the CU Anschutz campus. It’s designed for high school students to learn more about biomedical engineering and experience firsthand some of the exciting career options available to STEM-focused students. The Department of Biomedical Engineering at CU Denver provides hands-on activities that bring together anatomy, engineering design, coding, mechanical and electrical engineering, prosthetics, rehabilitation engineering, neuroscience, teamwork, leadership, ethics, and more. 

The GenCyber Summer Camp program at the CU Denver Business School provides exciting, hands-on cybersecurity experiences for high school students. Learners will explore various aspects of cybersecurity with hands-on exercises and games, including ethical hacking, social engineering, computer and digital forensics, networking fundamentals, cyber threats, cybersecurity careers, ethics in cybersecurity, and online safety.

The LYNX National Arts and Media Camps are summer arts immersion programs for high school students. The camps are taught by College of Arts & Media (CAM) professors and alumni. Current CAM students work as camp counselors and teaching assistants. The camps are designed to be previews of CAM programs while also providing students with an inspiring and memorable summer camp experience. CAM offers many camp programs every summer in areas like music industry, filmmaking, animation, and photography.
